Student Scholarships

Prestigious Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University scholarships are awarded to five entering freshmen each year who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and leadership skills in high school, and show promise of continuing such performance in college and beyond. Minimum criteria include a high school GPA of 3.5 or better, an ACT Composite score of 24 or SAT Composite score of 1110, academic credentials, leadership and activity record, and an essay. The St. Stephen Scholarship in Theology is making a meaningful difference in the lives of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University students who are preparing to serve the Church and strengthen communities through faith.

Over the past year, the number of undergraduate theology majors at FranU has doubled, reflecting a growing desire among students to answer God's call to ministry, service and theological study. As enrollment continues to grow, so does the need to ensure that financial challenges do not prevent these students from pursuing their vocation.

Scholarship support helps bridge the gap between aspiration and opportunity, allowing dedicated students to complete their education and prepare for lives of service in parishes, schools, diocesan ministries and other faith-based organizations.

Awarded in 2018 and 2021 and renewed in 2026, the FMOL Sisters Graduate Scholarship provides $25,000 annually to support Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia (DNP-NA) students at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University.

This scholarship helps expand clinical training opportunities in rural and underserved communities, where students gain valuable hands-on experience alongside experienced healthcare providers. By supporting rural clinical rotations, the scholarship strengthens access to quality healthcare while preparing future nurse anesthetists to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.

Scholarship funds are awarded directly to students to help offset expenses associated with rural clinical education and training experiences.
